The Groom's Suit

From p. 70 of Metro Weddings I Do July - December 2003 Edition

For a beach or more casual garden wedding, consider linen

The pale blue color and ruffled shirt of sheer cotton hark back to the '70s, too, making this ensemble fashionable, but effortlessly, not exaggeratedly, all by Paul Smith.

The florist call this his 'Zen' boutonniere. It is two sprigs of a plant called Chinese Umbrella bound in raffia.

Yes, I've showed my baby this suit, and he seems okay with it ^_^ This suit is soooo perfect with my denim theme, don't you think? It has a casual, yet very elegant feel, and the linen looks like denim! Dar would really stand out among the male entourage (who will be wearing suits too, but they would be wearing the standard dark suits, I think).

My coordinator suggested that we could have the same shade of cloth used for the suit as that of the shade of the denim that will be used for my dress. It shouldn't be too dark, or else the suit jacket would just look like a denim jacket (hehehe), or too light coz it won't look good with the dress' design.

If you look closely, you would see the ruffles that were described, but it's very subtle, and not too frilly. I just have to make sure that Dar doesn't wear any big gold necklaces or any bling bling or else he'll look like a gigolo hehehe.

Now we just have to look for somebody to make the groom's suit. ^_^
