Song List

I have decided, erm, I mean, Dar and I have decided that songs to be played during the wedding ceremony would be by the Beatles.

Why such an off-the-wall decision on the wedding ceremony songs?

First, I don't want the traditional string quartet. Dar is not into string quartet. I can appreciate a string quartet, but it's BORING. (Not to offend those who will choose, or chose, a string quartet for their ceremony)

Second, Dar and I both grew up listening to our Dad's Beatles' albums. Dar has a brother named Desmond (from the song Obladi Oblada) to prove Dar's Papa's affinity to the group. Our house is filled with Beatles memorabilia, which Dad has been collecting since he started college. Our families can relate to the Beatles.

Third, and lastly, what other songs would be so nice to hear being played on acoustic guitars? Simple chords, simple lyrics but deep meanings. Not too mushy, but not too impersonal. Romantic but not too sentimental. Perfect.

I have asked Loogz and Gujel (thru email) to be my wedding ceremony musicians. I'm crossing my fingers that by by next year, I would have finalized my song list and they'd start practicing.

One problem, though: will the dela Strada church agree to such unorthodox songs?

Here is the tentative song list I would like to hear during the ceremony.

So what do you guys think? ^_^

Hmmm... still have to dig through my dad's LP collection to look for the perfect Beatles songs.

Oh, and have to look at a sample misallete so I'd know what part needs what kind of music.

*Toodles!*
