Can't Hardly Date

Eight years ago, there was this really makulit guy who has been making papansin for the longest time. However, I think he got tired of making papansin and wouldn't ask me out! Eventhough we both have significant others then, I thought, what the hell, it's just a movie, and mustered up enough courage and kakapalan ng mukha to ask him if he would like to watch the movie Can't Hardly Wait with me.

And on September 4, 1998, we did just that.

On how it went... well, let our friends tell the story... ;)

Finally!

After almost a year, we have enough money to have our wedding album made!

Siyempre, we won't go to anybody else except to Rene Gaviola, our supremely excellent wedding photographer :)

And very lucky too, because he is now offering a Coffeetable Art Book!

However, I was still undecided, because as I said before, I wanted the Chie Zamora album because it was costumizable -- baka puede kong pagawang denim yung cover, diba?

That's why, this morning, Darius and I went to Rene's shop to look at the two albums again. [Side kuwento, everytime the two of us goes to Mandaluyong, we seem to run into a bit of bad luck. The first time, we missed the U-turn slot along Edsa and we had to take the U-turn slot na in Makati. This time, we took the wrong U-turn slot along Shaw and we were given a traffic ticket. Hehe]

Anyhoo. Rene showed us Gwen & Nick's album which was costum made by Chie Zamora. It was big and formal and black and oh so elegant. It was so bagay with Gwen & Nick's wedding which was a formal Filipiniana affair in Ilocos.

Then Rene showed us Abby & Jaime's album which was the first Coffeebook Art Book album he made. It looks and feels like a book, but the pages were not as thin as the pages of the usual coffeetable books. It was thick, like that of a photo paper. Abby and Jaime's wedding was a less formal affair and bagay sa coffeetable book.

Okay decision time. Dar was not much help because his mantra with regards to wedding stuff is "Kung san ka masaya, basta gusto mo, okay lang kahit ano". Since our wedding was quirky and fun and had a modern, untraditional feel to it, I opted to go for the Coffeetable Art Book album :)

We're going to have a 20-leaf/40-page album made (unlike Abby and Jaime's which was a 40-leave/80-page album) because of mainly budget constraints. I think it will challenge Rene to come up with the bestest best pictures we have and make a layout using only 40 pages. Hehe. Also, Rene might do something with the cover page na lang to incorporate the denim and purple motif (maybe the background or something). I leave it all to Rene, sobrang I trust this man and his art.

We're crossing our fingers Rene will have our album made by December the earliest and January the latest. I want him to take his time to make his art din, hehe.

So excited! ^_^

P.S. Grabe, after so many months, ngayon lang uli ako nagsulat dito sa blog na'to. Oh well, wedding related stuff lang kasi dito. Anyways, I hope I can find time to do my supplier reviews... o diba, one year after the wedding!!! :D

Toodles!
