Here are some ideas I have for my DIY Save-The-Date cards:
Save-the-Date CorkboardTo make my Save-The-Date functional, I'm thinking of covering a rectangular piece of corkboard with the denim material. So that the recipients can then hang it up to be used as a bulletin board or something, diba? Puede na rin siguro eto na lang rin yung souvenirs??? Hehehe... [Pero serious, matutuwa kaya guests ko kung gawin kong corkboard bulletin board yung souvenirs? Gagamitin ba nila yon?] So I guess the corkboard has to be a bit big to function as a bulletin board. [Inspired by the second picture, the recycled denim jean's pocket]
I could use some of our (mine and Dar's) old jeans, cut out the back pockets and use those to cover the corkboard. I could also find a way to use the front pockets, para 4 save-the-date's agad per old pair of jeans diba?
Save-the-date info will then be printed on a light purple paper, or puede ring simple white paper na lang with purple ink. This paper will then be attached to the corkboard using a push-pin, pero naka-insert pa rin inside the jean pocket.
Save-the-Date CardIf ever mapag-usapan na namin ni Kat (my coordinator) na masyadong work yung denim corkboard as a Save-the-Date card, baka denim colored paper na lang, then embellishments to make the paper look like jeans [siguro gold broken lines to mimic stitches?]. If ever I won't be able to find denim-like paper, I found a
denim paint technique na sana puede ring gawin sa papel hahaha :D
Definitely, light purple paper inserts will be used for the save-the-date info. If ever we go for the look of the first invitation, a purple ribbon will be used, instead of the red bandana.

I'm really excited to do this project na. Para finally ma-feel ko man lang na umuusog na wedding preps namin. ^_^ Well, at least napa-reserve na ang Balay Kalinaw and Sta. Maria dela Strada, and yun naman ang pinaka-importante eh.
So, save the date y'all!!!
